Here’s what’s actually delivering in 2025:

• Modular Blockchains: The separation of execution, consensus, and data availability layers is winning. Think EigenDA and Celestia. This is becoming the go-to architecture for serious scaling without sacrificing security.

• Layer 2 Evolution: Optimistic Rollups are mature, but ZK-Rollups are finally having their moment with full EVM equivalence. Transactions are becoming cheaper and faster, but interoperability between L2s is the next big hurdle.

• The Solana Question: It's fast, but is the "decentralization" part of the trilemma truly solved? The network has been stable, but the debate rages on.

The promise of seamless, cheap, global-scale blockchain is closer than ever, but we're not quite at the finish line.
