December 30, 2025: The Last Crypto Post of the Year (Maybe Ever)

Yo. It's me. It's the last day of the year, almost. You're probably reading this on your phone while pretending to listen to your family, or maybe you're alone in a dark room with too many monitors. I get it.

Let me tell you what's actually happening right now. Not the charts. Not the "analysis." The feel.

The Vibe is Dead

No, seriously. Check any forum. It's not fear. It's not greed. It's nothing. The energy is gone.

Twitter? Dead. Just the same 50 influencers reposting each other's "2026 predictions" that they literally copied from last year's "2025 predictions."

Reddit? Dead. The daily discussion thread has like 12 comments. Six are bots.

Discord? Dead. You know that server you joined in 2021 that had 50,000 people screaming about moonshots? Last message was 3 months ago. "Anyone still here?"

This isn't a bear market. This is a ghost town.

What Normal People Are Actually Asking (December 30th Edition)

I checked Quora. Real questions from real people who aren't terminally online:

  1. "My son invested in crypto years ago and won't talk about it. Should I be worried?"

  2. "Is cryptocurrency a scam or just a failed experiment?"

  3. "I have $100 in Bitcoin from 2017. How do I cash it out?"

  4. "Should I mention my crypto losses on my taxes?"

Notice something? Nobody's asking how to get in. They're asking how to get out. Or how to deal with the wreckage.

That's the real indicator. When the normies stop asking "how do I buy?" and start asking "how do I escape?"—that's the bottom. Or the end.

The Three Types of People Still Here

1. The Delusionals
These people still think they're geniuses. Their portfolio is down 80% but they'll tell you about their "conviction" and "long-term vision." They're the ones posting "STILL EARLY" memes to an audience of 12 people. Bless their hearts.

2. The Trapped
This is most of us. We're not here because we believe. We're here because leaving would mean admitting we wasted years of our lives. The sunk cost fallacy as a lifestyle. We're not investing—we're in a toxic relationship with our own bad decisions.

3. The Professionals
The VCs, the fund managers, the people who get paid whether crypto goes up or down. They're fine. They're building "infrastructure" and "tools" while we're all slowly bleeding out. They'll be here in 2030. We might not be.

The Cold Hard Facts (No Copium)

Fact 1: Most people in crypto have lost money. Not "paper losses." Real, actual money they can't get back.

Fact 2: The "institutional adoption" narrative didn't save retail. It just gave the institutions a new casino to play in.

Fact 3: The technology got better. The user experience got better. The returns got worse. Much worse.

Fact 4: We're all exhausted. The constant cycle of hype and disappointment wears you down. After 3-4 years of this, you're just... tired.

What Now?

Look, I don't have answers. I'm just some guy typing this on my laptop while my portfolio slowly bleeds out. But here's what I'm doing:

  1. I'm logging off. For real. For a week. Maybe a month.

  2. I'm diversifying into reality. Actual assets. Actual skills. Actual relationships.

  3. I'm accepting that I might have been wrong. That's the hardest part. Admitting that maybe, just maybe, this wasn't the revolution. It was just... a thing that happened.

  4. I'm preparing for the possibility that it's over. That crypto had its moment, and the moment passed. That 2021 was the peak, and everything since has been the long, slow decline.

Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe 2026 is the year. Maybe the halving, the ETF inflows, the "institutional wave" all combine for the mother of all bull runs.

But here's the thing: I don't care anymore.

The constant waiting. The hoping. The checking. The disappointment. It's not worth it. The emotional cost is higher than the financial cost.

My Final Thought for 2025

If you're reading this, you're probably like me. You've been in this too long. You've seen too much. You're tired.

So here's my permission to you: It's okay to leave.

It's okay to cash out. It's okay to take the loss. It's okay to admit it might have been a mistake. It's okay to build a life outside of crypto.

The charts will still be here if you want to come back. Or they won't. And either way, you'll have your life back.

That's the real wealth. Not the numbers on a screen. The freedom to not care about the numbers on a screen.

Happy New Year. Or whatever.

P.S. If this post does numbers, I'll know you're all still here, lying to yourselves just like I am. See you next year. Or not.
